BOSWELL, Pa. (WTAJ) - The theme around North Star football this season is playing strong throughout the whole year. Last year, the Cougars opened the campaign with a 5-1 record but dropped five out of their last six games.
North Star returns eight starters on each side of the ball, including quarterback Kasey Yoder. The junior replaced his brother as the starting signal caller last season and impressed with more than 1,400 passing yards and 16 touchdowns.
"Everything goes through him (this year)," North Star head coach Bob Landis said.
His growth was aided by having solid players around him, like Ethan Smith and Jesse Samler. Both of them have graduated, though, opening up opportunities for some underclassmen.
