ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) - Most teams going from a 9-2 record to a 6-5 record would call it a drop-off. However, that would be considered a successful rebuilding year for United Valley.
The Lions entered last season with a first-year head coach in Lou McElwee. He was tasked with replacing a handful of star players, such as quarterback Isaac Worthington and running back Caden McCuley.
It wasn't always easy for United Valley to find its footing. The Lions opened last season with a 1-3 record but rallied to win five straight games to put themselves into the District VI playoffs.
This year, there is plenty of confidence among United Valley that they can take another leap forward. The Lions bring back senior quarterback Dmitri Worthington and some of his top receivers in Ethan Luko and Peyton McE
