Bassett Healthcare Network on Monday announced five new health care practitioners joined the organization during of July.

Dr. Adam Hockensmith has joined Bassett as associate chief of emergency and trauma services, according to a news release. Hockensmith provides care to patients of all ages, including diagnosis and treatment of very serious illness and injury, as part of the Emergency Medicine Team.
