ASHBURN, Va. — Commanders offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury is easy to spot on the practice field, wearing a big straw hat, but when he really gets to work, it’s out of the spotlight and usually gets started well before the sun comes up.
Kingsbury’s hard work paid off big time last year, but last year wasn’t good enough for the Commanders offensive coordinator.
The starting line this season is much different.
“Last year at this time, I don’t think we’d even named a starting quarterback yet," said Kingsbury.
This season, it’s a no brainer.
Kingsbury gets another chance to grow with Jayden Daniels and broaden the horizons of his playbook, but he’s also putting 2024, and Daniels’ Rookie of the Year season, in the rearview mirror.
