Description

At 7:03 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing strong wind gusts, pea to dime size hail and heavy rain.

This severe thunderstorm is located 6 kilometres west of Allensville, moving east at 10 km/h.

Hazard: Hazard: Heavy rainfall producing 50 to 60 mm.

Locations impacted include:

Skeleton Lake and Allensville.

Heavy rain may cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.

Recommended Action

Take immediate cover if a thunderstorm approaches. If outside, protect yourself from flying debris
