OWENSBORO, Ky. (WFIE) - The halls of Owensboro High School were buzzing with teachers Monday, not students.

Teachers, administrators, and support staff from every school in the district took part in a series of workshops designed to sharpen their skills and introduce new strategies.

Instead of bringing in outside speakers, the district is tapping into the knowledge and experience of its own employees, with many sessions led by teachers for teachers.

Organizers say this peer-led approach allows for more relevant and practical discussions, covering everything from new teaching methods to student engagement best practices.
