Cava, a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant chain, is coming to Pittsburgh.

Cava will be coming to Oakland and will be located within the 3600 block of Forbes Avenue. Another location will open inside The Meridian, which is a new development at the border of Shadyside and East Liberty. Advertisement

Cava started in Rockville, Maryland, and has 384 locations in the United States.

Pitt News, the University of Pittsburgh's daily student newspaper, spoke to a representative from Cava, who said that the restaurant is planned to open later this year in Oakland, but they couldn't confirm any other specifics or an opening time frame as of now.
