The developer behind a major logistics facility under construction in Loxley is defying claims by the Alabama State Port Authority that it's firm is "cybersquatting" and ripping off the agency’s branding.
A federal lawsuit filed by the Port Authority last Thursday, July 31, accuses Dallas, Texas-based Gulf Corp. of misusing the State Docks' copyrighted logos and materials to market its "Port Alabama Industrial Center," a 900-acre private development in Baldwin County, that is expected to have a $2 billion impact on the state’s economy.
