A 44-year-old man died Sunday night at the scene of a South Phoenix shooting, police said.
Johnathan Joel Rosenlund was identified Monday as the victim in the shooting that occurred just before 9:45 p.m. Aug. 3.
Officers also identified two men involved in the incident and detained them.
Homicide detectives assumed the investigation, and the two men were taken to the Phoenix Police Department headquarters to be interviewed. Once the interviews were complete, both were released, police said.
The Maricopa County Attorney’s Office will determine a final charging decision once the investigation is complete.
