NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - North Charleston Police are investigating an early-morning hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian.
Officers say they responded around 1:45 a.m. Tuesday to Rivers Avenue near Piggly Wiggly Drive for a crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian.
Upon arrival, officers found that the involved driver had already fled the scene.
Additionally, the victim was pronounced dead at the site of the crash.
Police are searching for the driver in this incident.

The name of the victim has not yet been released.
