OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - First Alert 6 has confirmed reports that after just two seasons, the Pro Volleyball Federation will be no longer.
In a release Tuesday morning, the Supernovas announced the PVF will be merging with Major League Volleyball (MLV).
In January, the Omaha Supernovas first shared it would be a founding partner of MLV -- the third professional league of its kind after the PVF and League One Volleyball (LOVB). The move meant the Supernovas would be exiting the Pro Volleyball Federation in favor of joining the brand new league.
The release states the unification will create a “single, united league poised to elevate professional women’s volleyball in the United States.”
In a social media post, the team shared plans for its upcoming season, calling it “history making.
