President Donald Trump is praising actress Sydney Sweeney for her recent American Eagle ad that has taken the internet by storm.

Last month, the South Side-based clothing retailer released an ad campaign that some claim had racist undertones, while others holding it up as an end to “wokeness.”

Trump weighed in on the controversy on Truth Social on Monday, writing that the “Euphoria” and “White Lotus” star’s ad is the “hottest” out there.

“The jeans are ‘flying off the shelves.’ he wrote. “Go get ‘em Sydney!”

The Pittsburgh-based clothing brand’s stock jumped on Monday after Trump’s endorsement, NBC News reported, but is still down 21% this year. Around mid-day Tuesday, shares were trading just above $12, down over 8% on the day.
