SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Children in Shreveport will have a few days to enjoy the highly anticipated downtown sprayground that is making a new and improved comeback this year.

The City of Shreveport announced in a press release that it will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the renovated downtown splash pad, a project it is proud to present to the public.

"Thanks to your continued support and YOUR tax dollars at work, we`re proud to unveil the newly refreshed Downtown Sprayground! This vibrant water feature is a downtown favorite, and we can't wait to welcome everyone back."

City officials and community members will gather on August 5 at 10 a.m. to celebrate the reopening of the water feature.
