The man accused of groping and flashing at least half a dozen women around the city has been released from jail, the San Diego County Sheriff's Department confirmed to NBC 7 on Monday.

Authorities said the man was released before 12:30 a.m. on Friday.

Initially, the San Diego County Sheriff's Department had said the city attorney "rejected" the case, but on Tuesday the City Attorney said they were still reviewing the case.

This comes after several women in Pacific Beach, North Park and University Heights told police that a man who looked like a jogger out for an afternoon run groped them and exposed his genitals.
