KNOXVILLE, Iowa -- A man police say wrote threats on playing cards and distributed them at the Knoxville Walmart Monday night has been charged with threat of terrorism.
The Knoxville Police Department said William Kisling, 44, was arrested at his residence in Harvey following the incident. He is also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Officers were dispatched to the Walmart at 8:24 p.m. on a report of a potential threat. The store was being evacuated when police and deputies with the Marion County Sheriff's Office arrived.
A criminal complaint filed in the case said some of the playing cards the suspect distributed contained messages written on them, such as "'Kill Yourself", "NO WARNING SHOT", and "MASS MURDER RAMPAGE.'"
