A Killeen man who pointed a pistol at a woman who would not leave was sentenced to deferred probation and will have to pay $5,000 in restitution to the Texas Attorney General Office’s crime victims’ fund as a condition.
Brian Michael Scottini, 45, was facing up to 20 years in prison after being indicted by a Bell County grand jury on Jan. 29, on a second-degree felony charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He pleaded guilty on May 5, court records show.
During a hearing on Monday in the 27th Judicial District Court, Judge Debbie Garrett did not find Scottini guilty, instead placing him on five years of deferred adjudication probation. He will not have a felony conviction on his record if he satisfactorily completes the probation term.
