Work is expected to start within the next five months on a $3 million parks project in Spanish Fort.

On Monday, the Spanish Fort City Council unanimously voted to move forward with a project to develop portions of a 142-acre site into a park area near Bay Minette Creek off Highway 225. There was no discussion on the resolution.
