STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The second earthquake in just four days has shaken New Jersey, according to the United States Geological Survey.

This latest tremor hit at 12:11 p.m. and had a magnitude of 2.7. It originated just over a mile southwest of Hillsdale in northeastern New Jersey.

According to the United States Geological Survey, the quake was even felt on Staten Island and in Connecticut.

This tremor follows on the heels of a 3.0 magnitude quake which hit New Jersey’s Hasbrouck Heights around 10:18 p.m. Saturday night.
