EAST BROOKFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - East Brookfield’s Second Chance Animal Shelter has announced that it is, once again, taking part in the ASPCA’s Rescue Effect campaign to raise awareness about the importance of animal adoption.
As part of this initiative, adoption fees will be sponsored on dogs eight-months-old and older, as well as for cats two-years-old and older.
Shelters across the country tend to see an increase in pets during the summer months, especially this year amid inflation and economic uncertainty, so the ASPCA has invested $2 million in grants to comb at this and make sure no pet gets left behind.
