Huntsville Animal Services is celebrating National Clear the Shelters Month this August with a series of special events to encourage pet adoption.

Huntsville Animal Services will waive adoption fees from Aug. 11-16 , including during its "Slumber Paw-ty Adoption Event."

“We’re proud to celebrate the Clear the Shelters month," said Huntsville Animal Services Director John Fischer. "This incredible initiative helps shine a light on the need for pet adoption and support."

Aug. 15

The "Slumber Paw-ty" will be on Aug. 15 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Huntsville Animal Services, which is located at 4950 Triana Blvd. SW.

Participants are encouraged to wear pajamas and enjoy food trucks and social media challenges.
