MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) --- A Harlem after-school worker has admitted to sexually abusing an 8-year-old student for a year, prosecutors said Tuesday.
Miles McNeal, 27, pleaded guilty to sexual abuse against a child and faces five years in state prison when he is sentenced next month, authorities said. He will also be added to the sex offender registry.
McNeal, an after-school and camp teacher, molested and abused the child several times between September 2022 and August 2023 after luring her into an empty classroom, according to court records.
"This conduct is abhorrent, and I thank this brave survivor for coming forward,” said Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.
