NEW JERSEY — A SECOND EARTHQUAKE, days after Saturday’s 3.0 quake in Bergen County, shook New Jersey about 12 minutes after noon on Tuesday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey’s National Earthquake Information Center. USGS says the quake, rated 2.7 magnitude and 12.4 kilometers deep, was centered two kilometers southwest of Hillsdale, New Jersey.
More than 2,000 citizen respondents told the agency they had felt the quake, which was reported as mild shaking from as far away as Brooklyn.
