VIDALIA, Ga. (WSAV) -- Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia opened a new $1.2 million expansion to their emergency department Tuesday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The new space will expand their Fast Track ER section from 5 to 12 bays and add three additional exam rooms.

A new nurses’ station, along with physician and nurse workstations, will add space to support patient needs.

Wesley Taylor, CEO of Meadows Hospital, said “Our growing footprint allows more patients from our region to receive excellent care close to home without the stress of driving to Atlanta and navigating big-city hospitals.”
