FORT STEWART, Ga. (WSAV) -- The family of Sgt. Quornelius Radford, the active-duty soldier accused of shooting five fellow soldiers, is speaking out.
Joe Mitchell, Radford's uncle, told First Coast News the family is heartbroken and blindsided. Mitchell shared a chilling text from his nephew just 20 minutes before the shooting.
"I just want y'all to know that I love y'all and I try my hardest to be the best I could be," the text message read. "My time is slowly coming to an end. I choose my destiny and my faith. I might not be with my mama, but I'm gonna be in a better place."
