Whoever declared disco to be dead clearly wasn’t prepared for the 21st Century. With the rise of modern EDM over the past couple of decades, there has been a resurgence of past genres like electrofunk and disco, as evidenced by projects like Satin Jackets. Formed by German electronic producer Tim Bernhardt, Satin Jackets’ Nu-Disco explores the late 1970s to early 1980s music heavily influenced by musicians like Nile Rodgers (Chic), Trevor Horn, and Sister Sledge. This is a night for sequined dresses, glittery makeup, and keeping the spirit of Studio 54 alive and, well, dancing all night long.
