GEORGETOWN, S.C. (WCSC) - On the first day of a double murder trial regarding a 2022 shooting, a young witness, the 911 caller, and multiple investigators testified.

Ronnie Todd Jr. is charged with the murders of John Ashley Altman and Emily Richitelli. He is also facing weapons charges.

The prosecution is building its case, portraying the situation as a jealous ex-boyfriend taking his anger out in a lethal way. Todd was the ex-boyfriend of Richitelli and a long-time friend of Altman before the two became a couple.

A neighbor, Ann Hollingsworth, testified that she was sleeping at the time of the shooting and didn’t hear anything, but woke up to Altman’s son, John Ashley Altman Jr., banging on her door.
