RIVERVIEW, Fla. (WFLA) — Three teens were taken into custody Monday after officials said they were seen openly carrying guns through a Riverview neighborhood.

One of the guns, an AR-style pistol, had previously been reported stolen and was linked to a burglary case in Ruskin earlier this year, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said they received a call about a group of teens causing a disturbance on the evening of Monday, Aug. 4.

A helicopter crew spotted a car trying to leave the neighborhood, and three teens got out and started running after deputies stopped the vehicle, the sheriff's office said.

Video provided by the sheriff's office showed the view from the helicopter as the teens took off running in-between homes in the area.
