MONROE COUNTY, Mo. (WGEM) - A Monroe County couple was charged with multiple counts of statutory sodomy of children under the age of 12 last week.

According to court documents, Elizabeth Parks, 35, and Stanley R. Thompson Jr., 46, were arrested on July 30 after allegedly sexually abusing six children.

Thompson Jr. was charged with five counts of statutory sodomy of a person less than 12-years-old and one count of tampering with physical evidence in a felony prosecution.

Parks was charged with three counts of statutory sodomy of a person less than 12-years-old and four counts of tampering with physical evidence in a felony prosecution.

Court documents show the alleged abuse happened between July 1, 2023 and July 28, 2025.
