Hissing cockroaches, giant millipedes, a bearded dragon, snakes and a falcon will make an appearance at the Englewood Forest Festival this Saturday.
The Chintimini Wildlife Center, a rehabilitator based in Corvallis, will have a booth full of unusual insects, slithering reptiles and a falcon for a live performance. They are one of over 80 vendors attending this year’s festival.
The festival will host artists, family-friendly activities, creative workshops, and performances beneath a canopy of 225-year-old Oregon Douglas fir and white oak trees. It will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 9, at Englewood Park on 1260 19th St. N.E., and is free to attend.
