SEYMOUR, Wis. (WBAY) - Seymour’s BurgerFest is back and better than ever as it kicked off the celebration for its 35th anniversary on Friday night
The two-day event features a balloon rally, a 5k “Bun Run” race, a classic car show, parade, ketchup slide, burger-eating contest, and, of course, the iconic serving of the giant hamburger.
The weather did pose an issue for organizers, throwing a wrench in plans for the balloon rally.
Those we spoke with say they’re hoping for better conditions on Saturday.
“The wind is very important for the balloon. If the wind is too high, then the balloons just can’t go up and it’s very dangerous for the balloons,” says Ben Ludtke, a coordinator for the hot air balloon rally.
