GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - The Great Muir Slide is back in Green Bay, just in time for families looking to beat the heat.

The city’s parks, recreation, and forestry department organized the kid-friendly event, which took place at John Muir Park, helping families take a break from the hot weather and cool off with the help of a giant slip-and-slide.

For just $5 per person, residents were invited out to soak up the last days of summer, with the Green Bay Area School District providing free walking tacos for the kids.

“It’s super long and it goes down a hill and there’s water spraying out of the hose. The water’s so like, cold,” said one kid.

John Muir, the man the park was named after, is widely known as the “Father of the National Parks.”
