HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -- A large fire destroyed a man's belongings Tuesday at a homeless encampment in Harrisburg.

Harrisburg Bureau of Fire responded around 4:50 p.m. to a fire at the encampment, which is located near PennDOT’s Riverfront Office.

Fire Chief Brian Enterline said the fire spread to a 100-foot by 125-foot area. Crews made quick work of the blaze, he said, which appeared accidental. However, a man staying at the encampment lost all his belongings.

This is at least the third fire crews responded to at the site this year.
