Francis Ford Coppola is said to be “resting nicely” after he was hospitalized in Rome for a heart procedure.

The 86-year-old “Godfather” and “Apocalypse Now” director reportedly went in on Tuesday for a scheduled surgery at Policlinico Tor Vergata, but suffered atrial fibrillation prior to heading into the operating room, according to local media.

He later underwent the planned procedure and is being kept in the hospital for observation.

“ Atrial fibrillation (AFib) is an irregular and often very rapid heart rhythm,” according to the Mayo Clinic. “AFib can lead to blood clots in the heart. The condition also increases the risk of stroke, heart failure and other heart-related complications.”
