On a sunny, warm Tuesday, voters slowly trickled in to cast their ballots in the Detroit primary at Bethel AME Church on St. Antoine in Midtown Detroit.

City Clerk Janice Winfrey stopped by to make sure things were operating smoothly and that campaigners weren't too close to the building. She told Deadline Detroit that things were going rather slowly, and whether people voted Tuesday, by absentee ballot, or early in person, “I just want people to vote.”
