For those who prize Kingston music venue Tubby’s for booking big-name, next-level, mind-blowing acts, few venues could be more deserving of receiving a grant.

The popular Kingston music venue and bar recently received a Music in Action grant from the Live Music Society, a nonprofit dedicated to sustaining small venues across the country. The grant supports community-focused programming and aims to help independent music spaces deepen their local impact.

Tubby’s (586 Broadway) is using the funds to launch a series of free concerts, including a special seven-night run of shows to celebrate the venue’s seventh anniversary.
