LAUREL, Md. (DC News Now) -- As many as 200 people attended Tuesday night's National Night Out in Laurel, Maryland. There were lots of fun activities for kids and families who got to meet first responders face to face.
Lyssa Lomangino is a mother of two young kids. She and her family were just a few of the hundreds who attended the event.
She said her children’s favorite attraction was the petting zoo.
“My kids always remember the petting zoo and the nice animals here, and my kids are crazy about the animals they bring. And they definitely make it a family fun environment,” Lomangino said.
