CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson's office confirmed that he has asked the Civilian Office of Police Accountability to investigate whether any officers helped with immigration raids.

Some city leaders have been pushing the city to investigate allegations that police assisted federal agents, specifically during the June 4 raid in the South Loop.

The mayor's office now says COPA should take on that investigation.

ABC7 reached out to COPA for comment, but did not immediately hear back.
