Former Central Valley Congressional candidate Phil Arballo claims he was fired by Charles Schwab for running as a Democrat.

Arballo filed a lawsuit in March alleging the Charles Schwab investment company branch in Los Altos fired him because he ran for Congress as a Democrat.

The backstory: Arballo ran against former Rep. Devin Nunes in 2020, losing by over nine points. • He ran for Congress once again two years later in the open race for the 13th District, which was eventually won by former Rep. John Duarte. • Despite the losses, Arballo ran lucrative campaigns as he raised over $5 million in his race against Nunes. • Following his failed Congressional runs, Arballo took a job at Charles Schwab in Los Altos.
