Leicester City manager Marti Cifuentes has pledged to look in-house as part of his three-step approach to transfers.

The new boss has made one signing so far in back-up goalkeeper Asmir Begovic, but City will hope to clear the decks enough through August so they can create space to freshen up their squad.

With more than 30 players to choose from, City need to get players out of the door before any come in, although an exception may be made for a new striker.

Cifuentes, despite his happiness with Jordan Ayew and Patson Daka’s performance, has not ruled out signing a new forward.

But dipping into the market is the third and final step of Cifuentes’ approach to new players, with the first two an assessment of the options already available to him.
