As new generations are born, new naming trends begin to arise. Some specific names have become synonymous with specific generations - Martin in the 60s and 70s, and Sheila in the 50s just to name a few.

So, now the most popular baby names in 2024 for each borough in Kent have been revealed, it may give some insight into what names will become well-known for the newborns of the 2020s.

The Office of National Statistics (ONS) has released the data for the most popular baby names in 2024 across England and Wales, as well as more locally, for each Kent borough.

And, it would seem that 2024's parents and guardians have differing opinions to the previous years' as the many of popular names for Kent in 2023 have fallen in popularity - with new names taking their place.
