CHESAPEAKE, Va. — The Grassfield Grizzlies are starting a new chapter under first-year head coach Mike Biehl.

Biehl arrives after nearly a decade at Nansemond-Suffolk Academy and inherits a program hungry for success — Grassfield hasn’t posted a winning season since 2016. The former standout quarterback knows change won’t happen overnight, but believes it starts with mindset.

"The biggest thing for us and something we talk a lot about day in and day out is we want people to come out and watch up play and know what our culture is about," Biehl said. "We shouldn't have to talk about it. We should see that it's a team that's physical. That's tough. That runs to the ball."

Senior wide receiver Trevor Whitted added, "We have more of a connection with the coaches and with the staff," he said.
