PADUCAH - A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans to begin nighttime milling and paving along US 641/12th Street on Thursday, Aug. 7.
The work zone will extend from mile point 6.6 to 11, or from near Tabard Drive to KY 80.
Lane restrictions will be in place in both directions, with two paving crews operating simultaneously. Work will take place nightly from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. and is expected to take about three weeks, weather permitting.
Motorists should be alert for flaggers, signs and message boards in the work zone.
The Murray Street Department replaced six manholes on 12th Street in anticipation of this project.
KYTC urges all motorists to use appropriate caution.
