CALEXICO — A 17-year-old Calexico resident was arrested last Friday after police recovered a stolen vehicle within city limits.

According to the Calexico Police Officers Association, officers were alerted to the stolen car traveling through the city and quickly located it near the 300 block of East Sixth Street. The female driver was taken into custody without incident and now faces charges related to auto theft.

The vehicle was safely recovered and has since been returned to its rightful owner.
