After two recent violent encounters with a man in Bed-Stuy, the owners of Home Frite are now taking extra safety precautions. Home Frite's location on Bedford Avenue now has security outside. "We are Brooklyn strong," said the co-owner. "We will stand behind any menace to society like this. We're here to operate. We're here to make friends. We're here to feed people." On July 31, a man named Ralph Louis was caught on camera yelling at a customer outside the restaurant, unprovoked. Employees say he then went inside Home Frite and threatened their lives.
