The bus ride from South Bend, Indiana, back to Ann Arbor in March wasn’t fun for the Wolverines, who’d been eliminated in the second round of the NCAA women’s basketball Tournament by Notre Dame.

With the season officially over, some players were already looking ahead to 2025-26. Star guard Syla Swords, in particular, made it clear she and her fellow freshmen classmates planned to build on their accomplishments at Michigan.
