ANN ARBOR — Ann Arbor’s free downtown summer concert series packed Liberty Street Thursday, with fans from near and far traveling to witness a near-reunion of hometown rockers Tally Hall.

Sonic Lunch brought Tally Hall keyboardist Andrew Horowitz back Thursday for the second year in a row – this time with additional members of the beloved, genre-defying group of University of Michigan alumni that performed from 2002 to 2011.

Although Thursday’s concert wasn’t billed as a Tally Hall reunion show, the lineup included four of the six original members – frontman and keyboard player Andrew Horowitz, guitarist and vocalist Rob Cantor, drummer Ross Federman, roadie and guitarist Bora Karaca and the band’s former touring member Casey Shea.

Openers Shea, Cam Galpin and Illicit Ghost each joined
