Season-long billfish series comes down to Blue Marlin Grand Championship

The Gulf Coast Triple Crown championship (GCTC) is a point-series event consisting of billfish tournaments. The series — which is presented by Grander Marine, Invincible Boats and Mercury Outboards — was introduced in 2011.

The blue marlin is the largest of the billfish species. For many anglers along the Gulf of Mexico, reeling in the big fish comes with a serious adrenaline rush — and perhaps some recognition.
