Another long-running Kent Beefeater restaurant is closing.

Hilden Manor in London Road, Hildenborough, near Tonbridge , is shutting its doors on Friday, August 15.

A notice on the door announcing the closure says: “It’s been a pleasure”.

Last summer, the company behind the Beefeater chain, Whitbread, confirmed it was closing six Kent restaurants .

This included The Long Reach Beefeater in Whitstable, Table Table in Broomfield, Herne Bay, and The Woodlands Beefeater in Gravesend.

Bosses also shut the Margate Promenade Brewers Fayre, Bexleyheath Brewers Fayre and Castle Lake Brewers Fayre in West Malling.

These closures came after plans were announced slash its portfolio of branded restaurants by more than 200 in favour of building more hotel rooms.

It has meant axing around 1,500
