DALLAS — Another professional women's team is coming to Dallas soon: Volleyball.

Pro Volleyball Federation and Major League Volleyball announced they have merged into a single , unified league to elevate professional women’s volleyball in the U.S., branded as MLV.

With the new unified league, they also announced that Dallas would be one of the cities to have a team in MLV. Currently, the league has eight teams: Atlanta, Columbus, Grand Rapids, Indianapolis, Omaha, Orlando, San Diego and Vegas. The Vegas-based team, however, are currently soliciting new owners but have not been able to finalize the specifics, the league said .

Dallas will join the league in 2026 as the 8th member. In 2027, the league will add two more expansion teams in Washington D.C. and Northern California.
