Brooklyn will once again take center stage in one of New York City’s quirkiest end-of-summer traditions, the 16th annual NYC Unicycle Festival .

Presented by Brooklyn-based Bindlestiff Family Cirkus , the festival happens in various parts of the city between Aug. 28 - Aug. 31.

One of the main attractions is a ride through Brooklyn on Aug. 29, with a massive 13-mile ride from City Hall across the Brooklyn Bridge to Coney Island. Known as Brooklyn Unicycle Day, the event invites riders of all skill levels to hop on one wheel and cruise through the borough, ending with a seaside celebration along the iconic boardwalk. It’s one part athletic feat, one part street spectacle and fully family friendly.
